Liquid Architecture is a renowned Australian organization for artists that use sound and listening, and it has been operating since 2000. On Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country, in Melbourne, Australia’s Collingwood Yards contemporary art district, is where Liquid Architecture is headquartered. Our program combines experimental music and contemporary art, and it does so through engaging in a variety of presentation, publishing, research, and commissioning activities.
The Liquid Architecture Board is looking for a new Director to help expand as an organization to better serve artists, stakeholders, and communities in the future. Our dedication to experimentation reflects the intersectionality of our community (artists, viewers, stakeholders), as well as their experiences, wants, and desires. It is not a genre, but rather an ethic that is shared across cultures, artforms, and contexts.
Liquid Architecture is looking for an experienced creative and cultural leader with a passion to experimental artistic practices to develop and implement a vision for our next phase after recently renewing the board and securing funding from Creative Victoria for a new cycle of activities.
Applications from First Peoples, those with disabilities, those from unique cultural and linguistic origins, and those who identify differently based on gender are particularly welcomed. The Board will examine job-sharing ideas or expressions of interest from collaborative entities. The Board encourages applications locally, nationally, and internationally.
Visit the Candidates’ Pack here for additional details about the opportunity and how to show your interest. On Sunday, September 18, 11:59 p.m. AEST, applications are due.
