NTAa is seeking submissions from artists and creators worldwide who utilize contemporary and emerging technologies to create thought-provoking and innovative artworks. Submissions can include installations, sculptures, digital art, interactive experiences, and more.

Prizes and Recognition:

The competition features two prestigious awards: the Jury Prize and the Public Prize. Both awards come with a cash prize of 7,500 EUR, honoring the exceptional creativity and technical prowess of the winning artists. Additionally, the jury may award an honorable mention to an outstanding artist. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to cast their votes for their favorite artwork, determining the recipient of the Public Prize.

Rules and Eligibility:

The competition is open to artists of all ages and nationalities. Submissions must consist of a single artwork created within the past two years and not previously exhibited. The goal of the competition is to showcase works that align with NTAa’s mission of promoting the fusion of art and technology.

The international jury reserves the right to exclude submissions that are deemed impractical within the constraints of the Liedts-Meesen Foundation. Selected artists will have their works exhibited at the NTAa ’25 exhibition, and Zebrastraat will provide basic equipment. Artists are responsible for providing or renting any specific equipment required for their installations during the exhibition’s duration. English is the official language of the competition.

Submission Process:

There is no artist fee required, and the organization covers transportation, accommodation, and installation expenses for selected projects. Artists interested in participating should submit their proposals online. The deadline for submissions is July 2024. Selected projects will be announced on the NTAa website and featured in the New Technological Art 2025 exhibition.

“Intelligence is Automatic” Theme:

This year’s theme, “Intelligence is Automatic,” challenges artists to explore the evolving relationship between humans and machines. As technology becomes increasingly sophisticated and autonomous, artists are invited to contemplate the implications of automation and AI on our understanding of intelligence, creativity, and the nature of art itself.
