Fondazione Antonio Ratti invites applications for CSAV Artists' Research Laboratory 2023 until February 10, 2023.
The CSAV Artists’ Research Laboratory is an experimental platform that aims to stimulate formal and informal debates and interactions among artists of all generations and countries.
Its goal is to investigate various forms of art-making through non-institutional educational approaches. A total of fifteen to twenty young artists of all nationalities will be chosen. Hilary Lloyd and guests will lead daily workshops and seminars for the participants.
Both the application and the laboratory are free. All applications must be submitted through the FAR website. Apply here.
“è ora di alzarsi” (it’s time to wake up) , the title chosen by Hilary Lloyd for the XXVII CSAV at the Ratti Foundation in Como, throws up a world of possibilities. It could represent a summons to political action, an unfocused early morning gaze, the transition from horizontality to verticality, various forms of participation or disengagement, or a prolonging of pleasure. Starting at the crossroads of this strange mix has long been important to Lloyd’s work; artists will spend their time in Como inventing, trading, and exploring bold, unusual, and exceptional ideas in meetings, workshops, and seminars in and around Lake Como.
Invited artist: Hilary Lloyd / Director: Annie Ratti / Associate Directors: Lorenzo Benedetti and Gregorio Magnani.
