Henrike Naumann: WESTALGIE

Henrike Naumann (b. 1984, Zwickau, Germany) is an installation artist who draws influence from a variety of areas, including art, product and graphic design, fashion, and video. She blends diverse media to create works that function as period chambers and exhibition spaces at the same time, while examining the hidden or repressed aspects of German history. To widen the exhibition’s scope and ideas, Naumann has asked two additional artists to present installations on the museum’s ground floor: Tom Bogaert with VENDELZWAAIER – FLAGGENWERFER and Merle Vorwald with DAUERGLOSS. Collaboration exhibition with CAC – la synagogue de Delme.

Lili Dujourie, Sophie Nys, Angyvir Padilla: ALL OUR YESTERDAYS

A group show including works by three Belgian female artists: Lili Dujourie (b. 1941, Roeselare, Belgium), Sophie Nys (b. 1974, Antwerp, Belgium), and Angyvir Padilla (b. 1987, Caracas, Venezuela). The show imagines a genealogy between these artists of various generations and origins, and it provides a poetic narrative about the passage of time, memory and loss, and the physical imprints of the human body.

PERFORMING LANDSCAPES
VERY CONTEMPORARY performance festival. The worldwide network VERY CONTEMPORARY, which consists of twelve museums, art institutions, and multi-disciplinary art spaces across the Meuse-Rhine Euregion, will conduct its second performance festival at IKOB in 2023. This one-day event will feature performances by a diverse group of international artists over the whole museum area, responding to the theme of “performing landscapes” this year.

Marcin Dudek

Marcin Dudek (born 1979 in Kraków, Poland) uses used materials in his installations, performances, sculptures, and paintings, blending autobiographical recollections with a critique of society’s reliance on spectacle, power, and aggressiveness. For his first solo show in the German-speaking world, the artist created a new work in a Kraków basement against the backdrop of his sister’s hair salon.

Veronika Eberhart: GARTEN SPRENGEN

Veronika Eberhart (b. 1982, Bad Radkersburg, Austria) exhibits her latest video Garten sprengen (Sprinkling [the] Garden, 2022), as well as new sculptural and photographic pieces based on the musician Hanns Eisler’s biography. As she considers the impact of music and movies on mass society, Eberhart’s hunt for buried layers of meaning motivates her inquiry into social history. Phileas Projects provided assistance.

Tanja Mosblech & Andrea Radermacher-Mennicken: HYPERBILD

Tanja Mosblech (b. 1970, Cologne, Germany) and Andrea Radermacher-Mennicken (b. 1964, Eupen, Belgium) showcase the results of their three-year partnership as Artists of East Belgium (“Künstlerinnen Ostbelgiens”) 2020-23 . Their project “Hyperbild” (hyperimage) emerges from an infinite network of associations, exploring how images are linked to one another in our digital age.
The exhibition programme is curated by Frank-Thorsten Moll and Brenda Guesnet.
