The Summer School as School program at Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is glad to announce its seventh annual session.
Aside from the public program, which includes lectures, conferences, performances, a film school program, DJ sessions, and exhibitions by authors, artists, and scholars like Julieta Aranda, Yann Annicchiarico, Sezgink Boynik, Goran Djordjevic, Martin Fritz, Daniel Cosentino, Vjollca Krasniqi, Sami Khatib, Bernhard Rüdiger, Boris Buden, Florina Jerliu, Marianne Plano, Esther Leslie, Suzana Milevska, Jelena Vesić, Gëzim Visoka, amongst others.

The application deadline is July 15, 2022. The results will be announced no later than July 18, 2022.

With Summer School as School, Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina, the faculty, and partner organizations have developed a distinctive collaborative international platform based in Prishtina, creating an interdisciplinary curriculum and enlisting practitioners to share knowledge and expertise with international students and the general public.

This year’s Summer School as School builds its agenda upon the various perspectives and experiences that theoretically and practically reflect and challenge ongoing global and regional histories alongside the present, with its broader connections to art and society, having run for the past years with great success and being confronted with the reality of war in Europe.

For the first time, two-week courses with a combination of theory-based and production-oriented classes will be offered from August 8–21, 2022, by Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina and Summer School as School 2022 faculty, increasing the engagement of the program’s content, participants, and faculty.

Participants will receive a certificate at the end of each course specifying how many The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits they have earned equivalent to.

To participate in each course, up to ten applications will be chosen. Candidates can sign up for multiple courses and request a student accommodation.

English is the language of instruction.
