“The Gentlemen” Gets Renewed for Season 2
Netflix has announced that the popular crime thriller series, “The Gentlemen,” will be returning for a second season. The series, which is based on Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name, follows Eddie Horniman (Theo James) as he navigates the treacherous world of organized crime.
The first season of “The Gentlemen” was a critical and commercial success, amassing over 1.21 billion viewing minutes in its first four days of release. The series’ popularity can be attributed to its fast-paced narrative, witty dialogue, and impressive ensemble cast.
Season 2 will pick up where the first season left off, with Eddie Horniman still grappling with the consequences of his involvement in the cannabis empire. The new season will introduce additional characters and plot twists, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
Guy Ritchie will return as director, co-writer, creator, and executive producer of the series. He will be joined by Matthew Read, who will also serve as a co-writer. The series is produced by Moonage Pictures for Netflix and Miramax Television.
Additional casting news for Season 2 will be announced at a later date, and filming is expected to begin next year. The second season will consist of eight episodes.
