Claudia Schmitz and Nicola L. Hein welcome artists from Korea and Germany to a telematic real-time performance featuring dance, video, and sound in augmented reality with UnStumm: Augmented Movements. International artists engage in audiovisual exchanges with one another, which are projected onto augmented reality sculptures and virtual loudspeakers, as well as augmented reality dancing bodies.

Premiere in 2022

The audience participates in the telematic augmented reality performance by using their own smartphone or tablet to access the UnStumm IOS / Android app. The software, which can be downloaded from the UnStumm website, allows users to participate in three-dimensional live performances as well as watch recordings of previous performances. UnStumm: Augmented Movements puts the artists’ performances into the presence of the audience’s lifeworld by using the user’s own smartphone as 3D glasses.

You can watch the performance live in the UnStumm—Augmented Voyage App. Download the app to participate live on your smartphone.

Participating artists: Mimi Jeong, dance /  Sejin Kim, synthetic live video / Ingo Reulecke, dance / Jin Sangtae, prepared hard drives, electronics / Nicola L. Hein, guitar, buchla, electronics / Claudia Schmitz, live moving image onto sculptures.

Past performances can be viewed within the Augmented Voyage App. Supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste and Ministerium für Familie, Frauen, Kultur und Intagration RLP with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media
