Bennani, known for her innovative approach to storytelling and her ability to challenge societal norms, has created a multi-sensory environment that will captivate audiences. The exhibition will feature a large-scale installation on the ground floor, “Sole crushing,” which animates hundreds of flip-flops into a mesmerizing performance. The accompanying soundtrack, composed in collaboration with music producer Cheb Runner, adds to the immersive experience.

On the first floor, visitors will be treated to a screening of “For Aicha,” an art film co-directed by Bennani and Orian Barki. This animated narrative follows Bouchra, a Moroccan jackal living in New York, as she explores her mother’s experiences with love, loss, and identity. By using anthropomorphic animals, Bennani and Barki offer a thought-provoking commentary on contemporary issues while maintaining a sense of humor and tenderness.

“For My Best Family” is a testament to Bennani’s talent and her commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. This exhibition promises to be a memorable and thought-provoking experience for all who attend.
