I love you:-) by Iris Andraschek will be exhibited at the Lentos Kunstmuseum.

Iris Andraschek’s work is influenced by her fascination with motifs drawn from the worlds of ordinary culture and socio-political issues. Her art frequently explores the link between mankind and nature, as well as alternative lifestyles and ideas regarding a more equitable coexistence. Her research-based job necessitates effective communication. Her work, which focus on individual experiences, reflect this. The Lentos Kunstmuseum brings together works from the last 35 years for the artist’s first solo exhibition. The exhibition includes drawings, pictures, and installations, some of which were created specifically for the occasion.

Iris Andraschek was born in the Lower Austrian town of Horn in 1963 and attended the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and the Bozen Freskoschule. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Austrian Kunstpreis für bildende Kunst.

The exhibition is supported by a 208-page catalog published by Verlag für moderne Kunst, which is highly illustrated. Philippe Batka, Katrin Bucher Trantow, and Gabriele Mackert contributed thorough text contributions in German and English, as well as texts about particular pieces.

Art and Literature—finissage with Esther Kinsky: September 11, 3–4pm

Iris Andraschek and Esther Kinsky, a Berlin-based German author, will be in attendance. HANGING WATER is a literary installation in which the author has contributed a literary text. A dialogue between literature and visual art will take place at the event.
