proyectoamil is a contemporary art platform based in Lima, Peru, and Ardez, Switzerland, bridging the Peruvian and international art scenes. Established in 2010, proyectoamil develops artistic, editorial, residency, and educational programs, hosting exhibitions, artistic interventions, and performances. The platform’s experimental and collaborative public program includes discussions, screenings, performances, concerts, workshops, and an annual educational laboratory for young artists.
Richard Tuttle, born in New Jersey in 1941, has created a varied body of work since the mid-1960s, transcending historical and stylistic categories. His work, which spans painting, sculpture, poetry, assemblage, and drawing, uses humble materials to reflect the world’s fragility with a poetic touch. Tuttle’s investigations into line, volume, color, texture, shape, and form are deeply spiritual and intellectually curious, focusing on language, spatial relationships, and the viewer’s aesthetic experience.
Iván Argote, born in Colombia in 1983 and based in Paris, explores human interactions with historical, economic, political, and moral changes. His work involves the body and emotions, questioning how we construct certainty about politics and history. Argote’s public space interventions and performances often evolve into films and installations, examining the city as a space of transformation. His work has been showcased globally.
Noah Igartua, a young British Peruvian artist based in Bristol, redefines traditional comic art with his dynamic, superhero-inspired narratives created using markers. His vibrant style brings a unique energy to his work, making it leap off the page.
colectivo amasijo, a Mexican group of women from various backgrounds, uses collective cooking to nurture the environment, relationships, and self-care. They celebrate diversity and draw inspiration from nature’s cycles, challenging the culture of scarcity and highlighting the interdependence of culture and territory. Their daily activities emphasize the importance of understanding the real cost of climate change and working towards earth regeneration.
