The Kunstkommission of Düsseldorf invites local and international artists to participate in the 2025 stadt.raum.experimente, a platform dedicated to contemporary art in public spaces. This initiative, launched in 2022, aims to enrich the city’s urban landscape with innovative and experimental art forms.

Artists are encouraged to develop temporary installations, performances, or participatory projects that reflect Düsseldorf’s evolving urban environment and address socially relevant issues. The program emphasizes sustainable aspects and seeks projects that actively contribute to the city’s future development.

Each year, up to 120,000 EUR is available for funding, with individual projects eligible for a maximum of 60,000 EUR. Additional funding from third parties is possible. The application deadline for 2025 projects is October 15, 2024, at 11:59 pm.

Applications must be submitted using the forms provided on the Kunstkommission’s website. Detailed information about the framework, conditions, and required documents can also be found there.

A jury will review the applications approximately six weeks after the deadline. Following the jury meeting, the political bodies will make the final selection, which will be communicated to applicants in writing. The jury’s decision does not require justification.

How to Apply:

Artists can submit their applications through the Kunstkommission’s website by the specified deadline.
