Open call for Braunschweig Projects: scholarships for emerging artists

Braunschweig University of Art (HBK Braunschweig) announces the following scholarships to be awarded in 2023/24 on behalf of the Federal State of Lower Saxony:

Braunschweig Projects
–Scholarships in the field of Sound Art
–Scholarships in the field of Fine Arts

In parallel, residency scholarships for up to three Ukrainian artists will be offered.

The university and the state use the scholarships to support emerging artists. They are intended for creatives who want to complete a project close to the HBK Braunschweig. Please visit website for additional details and to submit an application. Application deadline is October 26, 2022 (date of email receipt).

A university that combines the arts and sciences is Braunschweig University of Art (HBK). The university provides areas of study in the liberal arts, art education, performing arts, design, visual communication, art history, and media studies. It is one of the largest art schools in Germany with close to 1000 students. With a population of about 250,000, Braunschweig is the biggest city between Hanover and Berlin.
