July 13–17, 2022, 2pm

The KHM will host the KHM OPEN 2022 from July 13 to July 17, commemorating this year’s graduate projects in particular, at the conclusion of the summer semester. There will be about thirty pieces on show from a total of about fifty graduating media arts students who finished their studies in 2021–2022. The exhibition will contain animations, sound and video installations, photographic pieces, performances, experimental, documentary, and feature films.

Additionally, recent student works will be displayed in open-space settings, and studios and labs will provide insights into the creative processes and seminar outcomes.

The Matjö – Raum für Kunst of the BBK Köln (Mathiasstr. 15) and the Filmforum of the Museum Ludwig (Bischofsgartenstr. 1) serve as exterior sites, with the exhibition parcours concentrating on the central KHM buildings with their studios and ateliers around Filzengraben 2.

The KHM OPEN is an ideal opportunity for prospective students to get to know the KHM, its study opportunities, its atmosphere and, above all, exemplary works and students themselves. On Thursday, July 14, and Saturday, July 16, from 2–5pm at the Infopoint (Mensa Cafè, Filzengraben 2), there will also be a student advisory service.
