The Art Encounters Foundation (Timișoara) and Cluj Cultural Centre (Cluj-Napoca) announce the open call for the sixth edition of the Autumn School of Curating, taking place in Cluj and Timișoara, Romania from October 20 to 27, 2024. This intensive eight-day seminar, led by esteemed curator Kate Fowle, provides an international platform for emerging curators to engage in dialogue, knowledge exchange, and learning.

Centered around the theme “Worlding: What does it mean to be ‘international’ today?” the program will immerse participants in the vibrant artistic landscapes of both cities. It will explore how art and curatorial practices address global political issues, considering the complexities of climate change, displacement, and conflict. Participants will delve into questions about working outside their own cultural and social contexts, responding to multiple worldviews, and identifying any universal aspects of curating.
