Open call for international award and artist residency
Application deadline: October 4, 2024
The Latera Art Farm has announced an open call for international artists to apply for a 30-day residency in the picturesque medieval village of Latera, located on the border between Tuscany and Lazio. The application deadline is October 4, 2024.
This unique project aims to redevelop the village of Latera through high-quality artistic works, turning it into a new cultural and tourist attraction. Artists are invited to conceive, design, and create a work—be it a sculpture or installation—that will be included in the broader Latera exhibition, which is currently under construction.
The residency will take place between March and May 2025, offering artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in the area’s rich history and natural beauty. The selected artist will receive a €10,000 prize for the creation of a permanent piece to be installed in the village. Local labor and technical partners will be available to assist in the creation process.
Latera the Art Farm is supported by the Municipality of Latera and Associazione Saint Francis’ Ways, with the artistic management of Squareworld Studio. The initiative is part of the “Bando Borghi Linea B” project, funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU program and Fondi PNRR, Mission 1, Component 3, Investment 2.1.
