Set Up, a site-specific format established in museum spaces to transform exhibition rooms into a unique venue for performing arts, returns to Punta della Dogana on February 3–4, 2023.
Music, dance, and performances will take over Punta della Dogana for two evenings, with the involvement of international performers from various backgrounds and artistic fields: Leïla Ka, Carmen Villain, Marta Cuscunà, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Riccardo Benassi, Nkisi, Andrea Belfi, Mellina Boubetra, Tolouse Low Trax, Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, Deena Abdelwahed.
Disciplines mix, from theater and contemporary dance to drums and electronics and afro avantpop, while the divide between artist and public thins. Set Up is an immersive experience in which artists, performances, and music mix with the massive architecture of Punta della Dogana, one of Venice’s most provocative settings.
The new edition of Set Up is organized by Palazzo Grassi—Punta della Dogana in partnership with independent curator Enrico Bettinello and the Terraforma festival.
