The Institute of Modern Art (IMA), one of Australia’s foremost organizations for contemporary art, is looking for a new Director to start in early 2023.
The Director serves as the organization’s executive head and public face and is accountable to the Board for its artistic direction, effectiveness, management, and reputation.

The IMA, Australia’s first organization dedicated to modern and contemporary art, was established in 1975 and is still going strong today. In recent years the IMA has exhibited Khadim Ali, Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan, Caitlin Franzmann, Gordon Hookey, Natalya Hughes, Jenn Nkiru, Thao Nguyen Phan, Yhonnie Scarce, and Marianna Simnett.
The IMA is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity.
