Application deadline: December 15

MIA Fair, the largest modern photography-focused art fair in Italy, is currently accepting applications from galleries from around the globe for its twelfth edition, which will be held in Milan from March 23 to 26, 2023. On March 22, the VIP preview will happen.

These are very important dates in the calendar of art fairs because they mark the beginning of the new year’s art season in Milan and complete the visitor’s experience with significant museum exhibitions, exclusive visits to private collections, and other novelties that will be added to the VIP program.

Deadline to apply is December 15, 2022. We look forward to receiving curatorial projects from galleries on solo or groups show that will be evaluated by MIA Fair.

SUPERSTUDIO MAXI is confirmed as venue, being one of the largest in Milano, recently open to the public after the renovation of its amazing industrial space of 7,000 sq.mt.

A robust cultural program featuring events like conferences and talks addressing topics like the photographic market system and the world of collecting was welcomed by the previous April 2022 edition, which had 97 Italian and international exhibitors with more than 400 displayed artists.

A strong collector base that approaches contemporary art through the collection of photography has been developed as a result of MIA Fair.

Among the various awards addressed to the last edition participating galleries, the most important are: the purchase BNL BNP Paribas Award, the Fiere di Parma Fund established to acquire works that become part of the Fiere di Parma Collection, the Sky Arte Prize focused on a TV programme entirely dedicated to the career and artistic vision of an artist exhibited at the fair, the New Post Photography award, dedicated to the promotion of the most creative and innovative trends in the world of contemporary photography, the Irinox Save the Food Prize, dedicated to projects on the theme of food.

MIA Fair is organized by Fiere di Parma with the patronage of Regione LombardiaCittà Metropolitana di Milano and Comune di Milano.
