InterAccess announces Vector Festival: Glitch

Design: Emi Takahashi and Rebecca Wilkinson. Design: Emi Takahashi and Rebecca Wilkinson.

July 14–24, 2022

Vector Festival 2022: Glitch is focused on the alluring, joyful, and limitless possibilities that glitch offers. The event views glitch as a necessary, protective force for disrupting the mechanisms of racism, capitalism, and patriarchy, drawing inspiration from Legacy Russell’s Glitch Feminism. Contrary to expectations, glitch transforms into a creative space for imagining new ways of existence outside of established sociopolitical operating systems as a result of its multitudinal ruptures and refusals.

This 10-day festival invites artists and audiences to join together in celebration of failure and all its potentials through a hybrid online and in-person program of exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops, talks, and community events.

Workshops

The session Keeping It Strange: Experimental Game Design Tools (July 18) presented by Sagan Yee will teach you how to create compact, zine-like games that can be shared with others, foster an appreciation for the indie “art tool” movement, and teach you to welcome happy accidents in the game-making process.
